1. Superman debuts triggering the birth of a new Heroic Age.

2.  January 4th, Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City after nearly 12 years abroad.

3. March 11,Bruce Wayne finds inspiration for his crime-fighting career when a bat flies through the window of his study.

4. April 6th,Reports of the Batman first surface in Gotham City.

5. Princess Diana of Themyscira wins the mantle of Wonder Woman.

6.April 23rd, Police Scientist Barry Allen is struck by lightning and doused with chemicals, giving him the power of super speed.

7. Barry Allen debuts as The Flash.

8. May 19th,The Batman makes a dramatic appearance at the Mayor’s mansion, threatening much of Gotham City’s criminal elite.

9. When a burglar attempts to rob a costumed charity ball for the March of Dimes in Star City, Oliver Queen goes into action as The Green Arrow.

10. Aquaman debuts, fighting whalers in the Atlantic Ocean.

11.June 6th, Lt. Jim Gordon questions Assistant District Attorney Harvey Dent about his possible connection with the Batman.

12. Batman is trapped in an abandoned building when Commissioner Loeb orders it firebombed.

13.June 17th-September 7th, Lt. James Gordon has an extramarital affair with his colleague Det. Sarah Essen.

14.July 11th, During an attempted break-in at the Ace Chemical Company, The Red Hood escapes from Batman by swimming through the factory’s chemical wastes. The toxic chemicals transform him into The Joker.

15. Superman attempts to capture Batman and turn him in to the police, but the two heroes end up teaming up to catch the costumed criminal Magpie.

16. Batman meets the Golden Age Green Lantern when arsonists attempt to torch one of Alan Scott's television stations.

17. August 7th,Batman inspires cat burglar Selina Kyle to become Catwoman.

18. Coast City test pilot Hal Jordan debuts as Green Lantern.

19. The Flash has his first encounter with Captain Cold.

20. September 25th,Lt. James Gordon questions Bruce Wayne about his connection with Batman.

21. December 3rd, James Gordon is promoted to Captain. The Joker threatens to poison the Gotham reservoir.
