Real Name : James Buchanon "Bucky" Barnes Alter Ego/Hero/Villain name : Winter Soldier Related Too : Face Used : Sebastian Stan Occupation : Secret Agent, Covert spy Powers and abilities : Master Hand to Hand combatant and Martial Artist. Weapons Mastery, Expert Assassin and Spy. Prosthetic arm grants superhuman strength and enhanced reaction time that can also discharge bolts of electrical energy from it's palm. The arm can discharge an EMP causing electronics to either shut down or become useless. The use of Barnes' EMP is shown when Barnes uses it to shut down a Nick Fury LMD and when he attempts to use it on Iron Man. The arm has a holographic function to disguise it as a flesh and blood arm.
Biography : Bucky Barnes was the best friend of Steve Rogers aka Captain America and both were soldiers in World War II but Bucky was thought killed in action during an explosion during a raid of Nazi forces including the Red Skull. During Cap's time in suspended animation, Bucky was found by the Russians albeit missing his leg arm. He was given a new cybernetic arm and brainwashed as a Russian assassin. He would carry out his mission and then be cryogenically frozen for years, only being activated ever so often..thus being able to stay young due to his time in suspended animation. Years after Steve Rogers returned, the Winter Solider was activated again and sent after Rogers..however Steve helped him break the brainwashing and Bucky soon recognized his old friend..working now for the side of good. |
